The concept was to create a chair without vanity, relinquishing most of the control over the process and the outcome. A carpeted and wallpapered room forms the context; a section of the floor is raised up to seating height and a section of the wall is pulled out to meet it. The meeting of these two surfaces form the respective seat and backrest. The frame of the chair traces the path of movement of the seat and backrest from the wall and floor to their current position. This is model no.1 of a series of variations of this design using different wood, and floor/wall coverings.
